Every year between June and November our beautiful coast lines are visited by the Southern Right Whales. These majestic creatures can be easily spotted from land as they frolic and play in our bays. Hermanus is considered to be one of the best whale viewing venues, with a record 196 whales spotted in day in the recent past!
