Bird-watching tourism (tourism aimed at experiencing birds in their natural habitat) is internationally regarded as the fastest growing ecotourism segment.

Some of the species you can expect to see in the Overberg region include, the Southern double-collared Sunbird, the African Hoopoe, the African Harrier-Hawk, the African Fish Eagle and the Cape Grassbird to mention a few.
