Great activities SOS Outdoor Centre

If you are looking for great activities to do in the Overberg area then look no further than the SOS Outdoor Centre.

SOS Outdoor Centre is situated 7km outside Villiersdorp and only an hour’s drive from Cape Town. Our Mountain and River campsites are surrounded with picturesque environmental beauty – offering magnificent views of the Theewaterskloof Dam and nature in general.

During the week, SOS runs School in the Wilds – a fully catered educational camp for Grade 3-7 learners from all over the country. This well-established programme run by qualified educators has enabled countless children to experience and learn about nature first-hand.

On weekends and during the school holidays, SOS campsites can also be booked for school, church or sport camps on a self-catered or fully catered basis. In fact, with a capacity to sleep between 32 and 368 people, it is the ideal venue for most groups.

Everyone is welcome at the SOS Outdoor Centre, with many fun activities to enjoy. Whether you want to go hiking through the fynbos, see the beautiful mountain waterfalls, bundu bash through our obstacle course, or experience our large variety of birdlife – you’re sure to find your happy place.

We also have many different animals on the farm including ordinary goats, cows, horses and sheep, as well as animals you don’t get to see every day like alpacas, llamas, miniature horses and a camel.

All of this adds up to the truly one-of-a-kind outdoor experience that is SOS.
