Hermanus First Fridays Artwalk – Night of A Thousand Drawings

On the evening of December 6th, as part of the regular ‘FIRST FRIDAY’S ARTWALK’, the twenty galleries in the centre of Hermanus will be hosting ‘NIGHT OF A THOUSAND DRAWINGS’ in order to raise funds for small Hermanus based charities. Each of the A5 sized drawings, paintings and sketches will be sold on the night for R100 each. Last year a total of R100 000 was raised and shared between four charities.
The NIGHT OF A THOUSAND DRAWINGS has become an important and much anticipated annual event in Hermanus, drawing large numbers of locals and visitors into the town centre, giving the galleries a chance to give back to the local community. The evening allows everyone the chance to enjoy the indulgence of purchasing artwork – even if modest in terms of size and price – while simultaneously supporting local charities. Let’s all make this year’s event a success.
